New Zealand will look for a rare white wash ODI series against South Africa in the third and final ODI match at Potchefstroom on Friday.

It is a dead rubber match but South Africa will be hoping to get a consolation victory as they will enter the final ODI clash. In the last Odi match at Kimberley on Tuesday, South Africa were chasing a remarkable target of 280 for victory on an excellent batting deck before mind boggling five run outs in the Proteas innings alongside one in New Zealand’s took the game away from them in a surprising way. Skipper AB de Villiers completes his two match ban and Dean Elgar has been called up as Hashim Amla’s replacement due to being a late withdrawal before the Kimberley game. Robin Petersen is also suffering from an injury so there could be an ODI debut for Aaron Phangiso at Potchefstroom.  The probable South African squad will include: 1 Graeme Smith, 2 Quinton de Kock (wk), 3 Colin Ingram, 4 Faf du Plessis (capt), 5 Farhaan Behardien, 6 David Miller, 7 Ryan McLaren, 8 Aaron Phangiso, 9 Rory Kleinveldt/Dale Steyn, 10 Morne Morkel, 11 Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

On the other hand, Kiwis’ energetic comeback is obvious from their lead of 2-0. They struggled hard to turn the tables dramatically while winning both the matches in the series so far. A quite superb unbeaten 145 from Kane Williamson set up a 27 run win at Kimberley in the last ODI match. There are high expectations from the spotlighted batsmen James Franklin and BJ Watling to repeat their performances to white-wash the South Africans. The likely Kiwis lineup will include: 1 BJ Watling, 2 Martin Guptill, 3 Kane Williamson, 4 Grant Elliot, 5 Brendon McCullum (capt & wk), 6 James Franklin, 7 Colin Munro, 8 Jimmy Neesham, 9 Nathan McCullum, 10 Kyle Mills, 11 Mitchell McClenaghan.
