Zimbabwe will start its tour of West Indies with the first ODI of three one-dayers at St Georges on Friday.
Zimbabwe played very little cricket recently and may get quite rusty against the West Indian’s who have played against a few top class teams lately. The year 2012 was like a nightmare for Zimbabwe as they suffered to lose all the 8 internationals matches they played but they will be hoping to start 2013 by winning a few games against the Windies. Vusi Sibanda looks in great form after making a hundred in one of the tour matches and he will be a key player for Zimbabwe over this tour. The likely Zimbabwean lineup will include: Brendan Taylor (capt), Hamilton Masakadza, Vusi Sibanda, Tino Mawoyo, Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chatara, Chris Mpofu, Prosper Utseya, Regis Chakabva, Malcolm Waller, Keegan Meth, Craig Ervine, Chamu Chibhabha, Tino Mutombodzi, Natsai M’shangwe.
The West Indies will be skippered by all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who will be eager to lead from the front, after fading away with the bat at the tail end of the Australia series. The big players like Chris Gayle and Darren Sammy are not a part of team as they are resting. Tino Best played quite well against Australia throughout the series and now he has the opportunity to grab a few big hauls. The probable West Indian squad will include: 1 Johnson Charles, 2 Kieran Powell, 3 Darren Bravo, 4 Ramnaresh Sarwan, 5 Kieron Pollard, 6 Dwayne Bravo (capt), 7 Andre Russell, 8 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 9 Kemar Roach, 10 Tino Best, 11 Sunil Narine.
