FC EdmontonShaun Saiko Led His Team in Goals and Assists this Season

FC Edmonton midfielder Shaun Saiko has been named to the 2011 NASL Best XI. 

Saiko, a local product, led his team in both goal scoring (9) and assists (5). The 21-year-old appeared in 27 NASL games and one Nutrilite Canadian Championship game in the 2011 season and led his team to the post season in their inaugural professional season. 

Saiko and his FC Edmonton teammates are set to take on the Fort Lauderdale Strikers this Saturday in Florida (Kick Off @ 5:30 p.m. MST/ www.fcedmonton.com) in the NASL quarter-finals.

Midfielders: David Foley (Puerto Rico Islanders), Shaun Saiko (FC Edmonton), Matt Watson (Carolina RailHawks), Pascal Millien (FC Tampa Bay) 

Defenders: Hassoum Camara (Montreal Impact), Kupono Low (Carolina RailHawks), Lance Laing (Fort Lauderdale Strikers), Toni Stahl (Fort Lauderdale Strikers) 

Goalkeeper: Brad Knighton (Carolina RailHawks)
