Ivy Substation (Culver City, CA)

Tim Robbins (Embedded, Dead Man Walking) returns to direct this roundly acclaimed Actors’ Gang production of George Orwell’s enduring classic, 1984. Written in 1948, 1984 imagined a totalitarian future beset by Big Brother, surveillance, fear-mongering and State control. This stage version, adapted by Michael Gene Sullivan, was originally produced by the Gang in 2006, and has gone on to be seen across the country and around the world. This remounting of the original production serves as a highlight of the Gang’s 30th anniversary season.
