Orgy: ’90s Alternative-Metal Band Returns to Rock The Canyon
The Canyon (Agoura Hills, CA)
Fronted by vocalist Jay Gordon, L.A.’s alt-metal specialists Orgy had two hit singles off their debut album Candyass in 1998: a cover of New Order’s “Blue Monday” and “Stitches.” The disc sold nearly two million copies. They’ve since released two more albums, Vapor Transmission and 2004’s Punk Statik Paranoia, and toured with Korn, Limp Bizkit, Incubus, Love and Rockets and Sugar Ray. Now reformed after original guitarists Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh departed, Gordon leads his new version of Orgy to the stage at The Canyon behind a new single, “Grime of the Century.”
