Theatre Banshee presents the American premiere of The Muesli Belt by Irish playwright Jimmy Murphy (The Kings of the Kilburn High Road). In 1999, the Celtic Tiger was roaring and business was booming in Ireland. But for the regulars at the Black Pool, a run-down Dublin pub, the influx of new money comes at a terrible price. The well-worn pub might not survive the onslaught of trendy shops and big money, threatening the old friends, old homes and old bonds that revolve around it. The Museli Belt explores this dramatic collision with humor, compassion and more than a few pints of Guinness.
