Relive the new jack swing era with an outdoor concert at the Greek Theatre. Childhood friends from Harlem, Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall and Damion Hall formed Guy in the late ’80s and are closely associated with the new jack swing style incorporating R&B, soul and hip-hop. The band scored hits with “I Like,” “Let’s Chill” and “Groove Me,” and has periodically reformed in the ’00s for special concerts. Boasting five No. 1 R&B hits, Tony! Toni! Toné! were a true force with successful singles like “Little Walter,” “Feels Good,” “Whatever You Want” and “The Blues.” This multi-platinum supergroup last hit the charts with Alicia Keys, joining her on the hit song “Diary.” Baltimore’s Dru Hill has topped the R&B charts with “In My Bed,” “Never Make a Promise” and “How Deep Is Your Love.” Their most recent album came out in 2010. One of the most well-known girl groups in modern R&B, SWV (Sisters With Voices) burst onto the scene in the mid-1990s with a cluster of big hits, including “Right Here/Human Nature,” “Weak” and “Anything.” The group, consisting of Coko, Taj and Lelee, reunited in 2005 and has been touring nonstop since then, bringing their sweet harmonies to the stage to thrill audiences around the world. Romantic singer Al B. Sure! Had number one hits with “Nite and Day,” “Off on Your Own (Girl),” “Right Now” and “Misunderstanding.”
