A daring and creative new work, Rain Maryam is the story of a drought, a village, a girl and a song. The experimental ensemble piece breaks the fourth wall through rhythmic text and stillness as the title character stands vulnerably at the center of the show. Ibrahim Chavez’s living sculpture is performed in an art gallery where you’ll take in its commentary on creativity, conformity and control.
