"Plácido Domingo's Operalia"

For 10 of the world’s most gifted young adult opera singers, it’s the concert — and opportunity — of a lifetime. Created by opera superstar Plácido Domingo to discover the best emerging opera singers of our day, Operalia is a prestigious international vocal competition that lets promising singers compete for top honors — and nearly $200,000 in cash prizes. Out of more than 1,000 applicants from every corner of the globe, only 10 singers make it to this final round of the competition, which takes the form of a concert with Plácido Domingo conducting the LA Opera Orchestra. An international panel of judges then announces the winners. Rolex presents this thrilling and emotionally charged concert — a great way to experience the operatic stars of tomorrow today.
