A gay Peruvian’s easy-going life in Echo Park gets much more complicated when he travels to his hometown to visit his ailing mother and ends up sliding right back into the closet — until his husband Josh decides to surprise him there, letting loose the disappointment and disdain of his mom and their close-knit community and leaving Sebastian to try to reconcile his past and his present. Carlos Ciurlizza makes his writing and directing debut with this poignant drama, and will be on hand with the cast for this Outfest screening at L.A.’s REDCAT.
