Steamy R&B hits like “Poison” and “Do Me!” helped Bell Biv DeVoe (known to fans simply as BBD) sell over 20 million albums worldwide and dominate the early ’90s airwaves. They’d risen to fame in the ’80s as part of the squeaky-clean, trailblazing boy band New Edition, but branched out into sexier territory. Now, they head to the L.A. County Fair to fill the Fairplex in Pomona with the smooth harmonies and “new jack swing” swagger that hyped up the parties of yesteryear. Joining the trio for this Throwback Thursday are platinum-selling soul artists Tony! Toni! Toné! and “Pony” crooner Ginuwine.
