Rishi seems to be the hot favorite of Yash Raj Films’ banner as they have once again roped him in another venture after the big success of Agneepath.

The reports have it that Rishi has been chosen to play a villain in YRF’s upcoming film ‘Aurangzeb’. Like Agneepath, Rishi Kapoor will again walk on the same lines of villainous character. His role of Rauf Lala in Agneepath fetched him much acclaim and popularity. The masses and the critics both had loved it simply – this is the role which had bagged him the new film offer from the big banner.

His wearing the kurta pyjama and a karakul cap with kajal in eyes was much liked by the audiences and the dressing earned the critics’ approval as well. Yash Raj Films’ spokesperson has confirmed the news of Rishi Kapoor’s playing a villain in Aurangzeb. In this flick, Arjun Kapoor is playing the main lead. Arjun is going to enact double role in the film. Post the success of Ishaqzaade (which was also YRF’s production), Arjun’s importance is high and since he is under YRF’s contract, his next will surely be Yash Raj’s movie. So he is in Auranzeb. The leading actress opposite Arjun is yet to be finalized.

There are reports and rumors that the film will be a new take of 1978’s blockbuster ‘Trishul’ directed by Yash Chopra and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhi Gulzar and Shishi Kapoor in main leads. Once we get any update on the leading lady, the report will be furnished here.
