Jeremy Bennett missing after falling into Thames River, London

On Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at approximately 3:40 PM the London Police Service responded to a call from a citizen reporting that a male had fallen into the Thames River at the Carfrae Street Bridge at Richmond Street. The London Fire Service was called in to assist police with a search of the river. The River is extremely high and moving very quickly making the search efforts quite dangerous. The search was called off at dusk due to darkness.

London Police confirm that the male who fell in the river is 30 year old Jeremy Bennett of London. The circumstances surrounding how and why Mr. Bennett fell into the River are still under investigation.

The London Police Service and the London Fire Service are continuing their search efforts today.
