The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Hina Rabbani Khar spoke to the media and cleared out all rumors about the presence of the leader of Al-Qaida Al-Zawahiri in Pakistan on Monday.

She released her statement only after a few hours of the claim made by the Secretary of States of US Hillary Clinton that they believe that the leader of Al-Qaida Al-Zawahiri is located somewhere within Pakistan. She said that the Pakistani government is not aware of any such piece of information and if someone else thinks that is the case, it should be shared with Pakistan.

She said, “We have no information about the presence of al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in Pakistan. If anybody has any information in this regard, they should share it with Pakistan.”

She said so while addressing the session of Parliamentary Committee on National Security and mentioned that the drone attacks made by the US in Pakistan are against international law and are a clear violation of rights and the sovereignty of Pakistan. She said that the recommendations made by the parliament committee have been forwarded to the authorities in the United States and they are aware the concerns of Pakistan over drone attacks. She said, “The US has been informed of Pakistan’s concerns on drone strikes.”
