R&B Sensation NE-YO headlining the first Canada Jam Music Art festival

Grammy award winning American R&B Sensation NE-YO will be headlining the first Canada Jam Music Art festival to be held at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto on Friday July 2, 2010, show time is set for 5-11 PM. The festival will feature an array of International artists and attractions, including music art and fashion. At press the festival can confirm that Canadian R&B Diva, Tamia will be one of NE-YO’S special guest, with many more great artists and performers to be confirmed in the days ahead

Canada Jam Fest will also showcase some of the best Canadian and international DJs, dance crews and emerging designers and models. Additionally, there will be a tech station for attendees to interact with the latest in mobile gadgets. The Canada Jam Fest primary mission is to create a platform where all Canadians could come together and celebrate the country’s birthday through music, Art and fashion. In short, Canada Jam Fest is committed to ensuring that fans will experience the Ultimate Canada Day birthday weekend bash.  

NE-YO is an American R&B singer, and talented song-writer who is responsible for penning some of the biggest hits in music today. The Grammy-Award winning artist has impressed audiences with his talents since his 2006 with his multi-platinum, chart topping debut, In My Own Words, is fed-up with the sloppiness of current R&B. “Years ago, if you weren’t wearing the right suit or have a correct crease in your pants, you couldn’t even get in the door—let alone on stage to perform.” With Ne-Yo’s third disc, Year of the Gentleman, the Las Vegas native and premier songwriter has constructed a suite of songs that shows exactly what he means by class.  Written over the course of travels through Europe last year and influenced by his own fascination with the Rat Pack, NE-YO explains, “For me, the sharpness of Sammy and Sinatra is the kind of style I strive for in clothes and music. Year of the Gentleman is named in honor of those guys.” In September NE-YO returns with a new CD entitled, “Libra Scale” featuring the smash new single “Beautiful Monster.”
