Express yourself with chalk graffitti! Draw pictures, write words, messages, stories to mark the places that mean something to them. It could be a memory (“she kissed me here”,____ was born at this house), or a hope and desire (“I wish there was more parking here!” “A bike lane should be here”), or a drawing (cat crosswalks?) or really anything at all. Nothing would be too mundane or too far-fetched. It’s a way of storying our neighbourhood to show the vast experiences and people who live and use the space here. This event is in the spirit of Jane’s Walk which will be travelling down Dundas the day after. Bring your ideas, start your own chalking events, unleash your creativity. Most of all – HAVE A LOT OF FUN! Here’s how to participate: 1) bring chalk (to share or pick up some from various points along Dundas if you don’t have any) 2) do your thing – draw, write, play 3) walk around and enjoy others’ chalk art!
