It’s a night under the stars and a stage full of stars as Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum presents a sneak peak staged reading of the new comedy Recipe by Michael Gene Sullivan. This fun tale centers on the members of a vigilantly progressive baking group, The Morning Glory Baking Circle for Revolutionary Self Defense — former hippies who raise funds to support social causes. But sometimes they really want to do more to shake up the establishment like in the good old days! With Joe Mantegna as the narrator, celebrities Cloris Leachman, Amy Madigan, Wendie Malick, Jean Smart and Lisa Bonet bring to life the hilarious characters. The show will be preceded by a dessert reception featuring confections by some of L.A.’s top bakery and pastry chefs in Theatricum’s gardens.
