November 23, 2013 Doors 7pm, Performances begin at 8pm $5 in advance online: http://tunings.eventbrite.ca/ $10 at door Location: InterAccess – 9 Ossington Ave, Toronto Programmed by Alex Snukal To celebrate the closing of Eli Keszler’s exhibition Cold Pin, on view until 8pm on November 23rd, InterAccess invites three experimental musicians and sound artists to perform in the gallery space. Tunings features performances by crys cole (Winnipeg), Matt Rogalsky (Kingston), and Nick Storring (Toronto) who explore often overlooked elements of instruments, untraditional materials, and new means of interacting between performer and computer. Each artist presented in Tunings use a variety of instruments, processes, and modes of performance to create their own distinct work. Tunings take Keszler’s kinetic sound installation at InterAccess as a point of reference. The programme offers space to explore themes of automation, artistic intention, and the extended possibilities of instrument and gallery space. Join us for this special evening of new performances by cole, Rogalsky and Storring inside InterAccess’s gallery space. Performances will take place throughout the evening, beginning at 8pm. $5 advanced tickets can be purchased online at http://tunings.eventbrite.ca/. Tickets may also be purchased for $10 at the door (cash only).
