A 56-year-old Memramcook woman, has been charged with five counts of assault inconnection with an investigation involving incidents that happened between July and September 2014 at a daycare in Memramcook.
The Memramcook RCMP investigated complaints of assaults that allegedly occurred at La couvée de la vallée daycare on Lavallée Road in Memramcook. The allegations are that there was inappropriate physical means taken to discipline three children at the daycare and that one adult employed at the daycare was physical assaulted while attending or working at the daycare. The daycare is not currently operating.
On December 1, 2014, Celine Lang, the daycare operator, was charged with four counts of assault on children and one count of assault against an adult. She is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on February 11, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. to answer to the charges.
The RCMP have been speaking to a number of people and are continuing their investigation.
