As long as we've known Kim Kardashian West, we've known her trademark beauty look: brunette hair, perfectly arched eyebrows, and — of course — contoured cheekbones.
These attributes have been a key part of the KKW Beauty founder's aesthetic, and while her go-to beauty choices work, she doesn't shy away from mixing it up. After all, who wouldn't want to try something fresh and new when you have the top beauty pros at your disposal? Over the years, she's dabbled in bobs of different colors and length, posed with neon wigs, and occasionally rocks a sculpted updo, giving us enough hairstyle inspo to screenshot when we're in the market for a new look.
In honor of KKW's 39th birthday, we're taking a look back at some of her most memorable hair moments, ahead.
Retro styles have been the most popular hair trend this season, so naturally, KKW has sported the look. While promoting KUWTK, her longtime hair pro, Chris Appleton, styled her hair into a flipped-out pony.
Kardashian West loves wearing her hair past her hips, so when the reality star chopped her strands (or her wig) into a chin-length bob, it was definitely worth all the selfies.

Equally shocking was KKW's platinum strands, which she debuted during Paris Fashion Week.
We rarely see KKW in an updo, which made her formal look for the 2019 Emmy Awards extra refreshing. She wore her hair in a sleek, center-parted bun that reminded us of our throwback high school hairstyle, but way cooler. Photo: JC Olivera/WireImage.
We'd be lying if we said these honey-blonde highlights from 2018 didn't make us call our colorist.
Earlier this month, the KKW Beauty founder took cool-brown hair for a spin. Unlike warmer browns, which have gold and red tones, this shade falls on the taupe side of the spectrum.
On the flip side, Kardashian West has also tried her fair share of bold colors, like this bubblegum pink she rocked during a trip to Tokyo.
