Much fun has been made of the notion that Russian President Vladimiir Putinphotos adorn almost all of the hotel rooms in Sochi in spite of the myriad of problems. Lack of heat, internet, water, door knobs, or even walls, tormented “crybaby American” visitors, but a serious portrait of Putin looking elegant in a suit and tie, is there to greet everyone. Rumors that the Putin photos were gigantic and topless or featured him taming wild animals were purely speculative. But it IS an amusing and personal touch. Wish we were there.
