So many rumours and so much speculation in the air about a fall-out between Aanand Rai and his protegee Ashwini Iyer Tiwari who directed the highly acclaimed Nil Battey Sannatta which Aanand Rai had produced.
Apparently, it was Ashwini whose husband Nitesh Tiwari has directed the new Aamir Khan starrer Dangal, opted out of the next Aanand Rai production Manmarziyan featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pedneker leading to much bad blood between the producer and his protégée.
But the soft-spoken Ashwini who is currently shooting Bareilly Ki Barfi with Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon dispels all rumours of a rift with her mentor.
Explains Ashwini, “Both Bareilly Ki Barfi and Manmarziyaan happened in my life simultaneously. Since Aanand Sir also had to deliver the film in the first-half of the next year we mutually decided that I direct one of the two films. Since Bareilly Ki Barfi was all set to go on the floors we decided I should do this one (Bareilly…). Aanand Sir and I are definitely working together in the future for the love of making films and because of the marvellous equation that we share.”
