Sunil Grover has just returned to Mumbai after a spectacularly successful live show in Delhi. Sounding overwhelmed Sunil says, “We got the kind of support that I can only describe as overwhelming. Yes, we got a full house and an enthusiastic crowd. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for the love I’ve received.”
Live shows are going to be the life-sustenance in Sunil’s life for a while now. “I’ve always been attached to the idea of performing live. Now I am more convinced than ever that there is a lot to be explored in the live medium.”
It is obvious Sunil is not returning to the Kapil Sharma Show. “But I haven’t given up television. In fact I am in the Grand Finale of Indian Idol this weekend, and I had a whole lot of fun shooting it.”
The hugely successful Delhi concert this weekend was not done to get even with Kapil Sharma. “Not at all,” avers Sunil. “This show was planned long before the entire episode (the controversy with Kapil Sharma) happened. Like I said I’ve been performing live for years now. That won’t change.”
