Don’t think five heroes can work together - Akshay Kumar

When asked about why he wanted to tell the story of his women engineers involved in the Mangalyaan mission, Akshay Kumar revealed that it was an important story. At the press meet of 2.0 on November 26, Akshay revealed that it was easy to bring five actresses on board for the film but believes it would be difficult to get so many actors together for a film. “The script demands them to be ahead. They are the real heroes. I am supposed to be behind them even though I am producing it. I am very happy to see these five girls, who are very big in their own way, are not bothered that there are five of them coming together. The attitude of ‘why should I do it’ isn’t there. I don’t think five heroes will come together. I don’t think so. But when I approached them, they were very happy with their roles and were ready to do the film. ”

When asked why actors are apprehensive to come together for a film, Akshay Kumar further said, “I hope seven actors come together. Earlier they used to. Rajkumar Kohli used to make those films and even I’ve done Jaani Dushman.”

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth – Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, helmed by S Shankar, is scheduled to release on November 29.
