Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart… Over six months have gone by since the theatrical release of Ramaiya Vastavaiya and there have been speculations around what Girish Kumar would pick up next? While he gained good appreciation for the Prabhu Dheva directed film that turned out to be a success at the box office, Girish hasn't hurried his way to pick his next. Even though he comes from a film family with Tauranis owning a big movie and music company TIPS, there is a wait and watch approach being adopted when it comes to the announcement of his next.

"Ramaiya Vastavaiya continues to be popular on the satellite circuits as well, courtesy its re-runs. The obvious temptation for Girish is to go ahead and pick another musical love story as his next. However, the youngster is keeping his options open. He doesn't wish to get restricted to one particular genre. For all it matters, he may as well do a romantic film but an action drama is not out of bound either," informs a close associate of the actor.

On his end, Girish is working on his physique as well to get into the kind of shape where he can quickly step into the action mould, the moment it is required. Currently busy evaluating scripts that are coming from his home production house as well as outsiders, Girish is willing to invest a few more weeks into the exercise before nailing down on the chosen one.

"I love the romantic genre and hence, picked Ramaiya Vastavaiya, which so many are watching today at home as well. Still, I feel that why should I be restricting myself to only one genre? There are various offers that I am getting on varied genres, be it thriller or action. I want to do them all. I am open to a romantic musical as well as an action drama. Whichever is the best script that comes my way, I will go with it," says the soft spoken actor.

While Girish isn't revealing much, sources inform that he is almost on the verge of signing on the dotted line for his next. Though he has maintained a hush-hush stance for now, insiders claim that the film would make heads turn for sure.
