Speaking during the first GNPOC annual workshop, the Director of Exploration and Acting Manager of Exploration and Production Division of Nile Petroleum Corporation (Nilepet), Stanslaus Tombel Bonda clarified that the workshop is to set standards for the oil company and its partners.

“The workshop is to set targets for the oil company and approved by the partners. We have agreed as partners that these resolutions are what we have to work on for 2012,” Tombe said.

“We need to be patient as South Sudanese because it takes time to do all these for us to fully control the oil resources,” he continued.

The GNPOC General Manager for Exploration and Production, Azmee Osman said that the company and its partners should cooperate to release the set targets. “We urge all parties with the government to cooperate for these set targets,” Osman said.
