In a public announcement note made repeatedly on the state radio, MPs were informed to report to parliament on Monday where the deliberation of the budget is expected to take a centre stage.

The move follows the recent untimely death of legislators Hon. Irene Peter Paul and Hon. Marko Lokorae Dedimoe in Juba and Torit respectively. A week ago, it the deliberation was postponed when it coincided with the death of hon. Irene and this time it is postponed because of the death of Hon. Lokorae.

Hon. Irene represented Larim and Didinga communities of Budi County. She was chosen to the state assembly during and the post CPA era on women of the ruling SPLM party ticket in 2010 general elections.

Late Hon. Lokorae, also a former Commissioner of Kapoeta East County was equally an SPLM member who also joined the state parliament in 2010.

The death of the two legislators has hindered deliberations and possible subsequent passing of the recently tabled 2013/2014 state budget, which stands at a tune of over SSP220m.
