Uttarkhand feud over the seat of Chief Minister swelled with Harish Rawat carrying out discussion meetings with a number of other politicians over being declined the CMship for the second time. News and rumours took over the integrity of the Congress Party as Rawat submitted his resignation and started to meet with the opposition party members.
The quarrel over the CM post was cooled down on Wednesday when Mr. Rawat met with Digvijaya Singh and announced to have sorted out his problems with Congress and said that he wishes to remain loyal to the party.
Rawat took his time to meet up with his party members but once he met with the senior members and the secretary of the Congress party, he seem to be satisfied with the decision of making Vijay Bahuguna the chief minister of Uttarkhand. Other significant Congress members that he met with include the MP Pradeep Tamta.
Rawat reportedly spoke to the media before going to meet with the Congress members for negotiations and said, “I have always been loyal to the party. I have confidence in justice in the party. I have been in the party for the past 40 years and I never went outside. I would have been satisfied if they [Congress High Command] had told me that I was not being considered.”
