BJP has announced demonstrations and protests all over the state beginning from 7 April in reference to arrest of MLA Rajendra Rathore in the allegedly fake Dara Singh encounter case. The announcement was made on Thursday.

The state president of BJP Arun Chaturvedi spoke to the media right after Rathore was arrested and said, “The party workers will stage dharnas and demonstrate in all districts to protest against the arrest, which, he said, was an example of how CBI is being misused by the Congress.”

Opposition leader and the ex-chief minister Vasundhara Raje also commented on the incident and said that the agency was misusing its powers for political agenda which should not be the case. She further stated that Rajendra Rathore was clearly falling victim to political agendas. She commented, “We have examples of CBI’s misuse in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh also. In Rajasthan, Rathore was arrested on the ground of a baseless story and only on direction of the Congress.”

Before going to the CBI office, Rathore spoke to the crowd gathered outside the party office and thanked them for their moral support. He also said that he was overwhelmed with the response of his party and people.
