Higher officials from India have expressed serious anger and resentment over the detainment of the Indian Bollywood celebrity Shahrukh Khan at the New York airport yet again on Friday. They have commented that the “mechanical” sorry by the staff of the airport is just not good enough anymore as this is not the first time this is happening. They also said that this time they intend to take the matter to concerned higher officials of the United States.

Disappointed at the treatment of the airport staff with the Indian celebrity, the Indian government has showed a rather strong reaction and has demanded a serious explanation of the event.

Shahrukh Khan (SRK), one of the top Bollywood celebrities of India, was made to wait at the airport and not given clearance to enter the country for quite some time; however, his other friends travelling with him were given clearance in no time. He was travelling with Nita Ambani who is the wife of the Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani and had come to New York to speak at an occasion at the Yale University.

SRK was made to wait at the airport for more than two hours when the Indian Consulate General (ICG) intervened and the US Customs Office let the celebrity go with a formal apology letter.
