Twenty-three people were arrested for various criminal and drug-related offences following a joint enforcement operation by the Singapore Police Force, Central Narcotics Bureau and Singapore Customs.

The 17-hour operation, which commenced from 7am on April 3, was led by Ang Mo Kio Police Division. The officers conducted checks in Yishun, Sengkang, Punggol, Ang Mo Kio and Sembawang. Drugs seized in the operation included approximately 30 grammes of cannabis and a small amount of ‘Ice’ and heroin, as well as 41 packets of contraband cigarettes. Commander of Ang Mo Kio Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr Keok Tong San said: “The police and our enforcement counterparts will continue to work closely to eradicate criminal activities and keep our streets safe.”

Investigations against the people arrested are ongoing. The arrested will be taken to court soon informed the police, probably in the coming week.
