District 3 RCMP are investigating a single vehicle collision, which occurred on Highway 111 in Rowley, N.B. The collision occurred shortly before 2:00 am on May 22, 2011, when a northbound Toyota 4Runner left the road. The driver, a 27-year-old Saint John man, was ejected from the vehicle, and died as a result of his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Including the driver, there were five occupants in the car. The four passengers, all Saint John area women, have been transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The name of the deceased is not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
