The suspect, Prentice Lester Daigle (b/m, DOB: 6-17-88), is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. He is currently in the Harris County Jail on an unrelated charge. Daigle and two other males are accused in the death of Reginald Keith Haynes, 48, of the above address, who suffered lacerations and possible internal injuries. Mr. Haynes was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Parker and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

Patrol officers responded to an assault call at 426 Truman about 2:45 p.m. on May 8, 2010. According to witnesses, three unknown black male suspects forced their way into the residence, assaulted Mr. Haynes and other occupants, and ransacked the house. The suspects then fled the scene with several items. They were last seen in a white or cream-colored Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup truck with dark tinted windows.

Further investigation indentified Prentice Diagle as a suspect in this case and he was charged with murder last Friday (June 24). He remains in custody at this time.
