On Wednesday, June 22, 2011, the Toronto Police Service arrested a man in connection with a historic sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– between the mid 1980’s and the early 1990’s, the man worked as a Judo Instructor at the Shin Bu Kan Judo Club in Etobicoke,
– while working as an Instructor, he sexually assaulted a student.
John Jakab, 71, of Cambridge, has been charged with:
1) Sexual Assault,
2) Sexual Interference,
3) Invitation to Sexual Touching.
He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, room 505, at 10 a.m.
Police believe there may be other victims.
