Vancouver police seek suspects in the latest murder

One man is dead and Vancouver Police are investigating after gunfire rang out in the area of the 6900 block of Arlington Street on Monday, July 25th.

Just after 10 p.m., callers from the area of the 6900 block Arlington Street in the Champlain Heights neighbourhood of southeast Vancouver reported hearing a disturbance and then gunshots.

Police arrived to find a man believed to be in his early 20s injured on the street. He was rushed to hospital but despite the best efforts of medical professionals has succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine his cause of death and to confirm his identity.

No suspects were located despite an extensive search of the area. The scene remains cordoned off while VPD Forensic Identification Unit officers examine the area for any evidence.
