Police make arrest for double stabbing in Fort St. John, BC

On July 23rd at about 2:35 in the morning, near the intersection of 101st Avenue and 98th Street in Fort St. John, two males were stabbed by a third male. Both males were flown to Vancouver General Hospital with serious injuries. A suspect was located in the area and arrested by police within minutes of the incident.

Amil PUNO, 25 years old of Delta, BC, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with the incident and has appeared in Provincial Court Monday (July 25th) afternoon. The investigation has not revealed any connection between the accused and the victims. Alcohol is believed to be a significant factor in this incident.

Fort St. John RCMP is declining to release the identity of the victims of this offence. Fort St. John RCMP is continuing to investigate this offence. Anyone who witnessed this event is requested to contact the Fort St. John RCMP.
