On Thursday, July 28th, members of the RCMP Nova Scotia Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) charged 38 year-old, Steven John Croft of Queens County with one count each of Possession of Child Pornography and Make Available Child Pornography after an online investigation.

On July 26th, RCMP conducted a search warrant at a residence on Hicks Rd, White Point, Queens County and seized computers and other items including a camera, phone and documents.

Steven John Croft was released on conditions and will appear in Liverpool Provincial Court for on November 1st, 2011. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.

RCMP Cst. Paul Smith wants the community to know their investigators are working diligently. "Our investigators are actively looking for those engaging in Internet Child Exploitation including investigations involving Child Abuse Images . I hope this case as well as other recent arrests and convictions are sending a powerful message to people with a sexual interest in children – we will find you and you will be brought to justice."
