Investigators working out of the York Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit have charged a 20-year-old Newmarket man with Internet child pornography offences.
On Wednesday, July 27, 2011, officers received information from the Toronto Police Service Child Exploitation Section that led them to investigate a Newmarket man for child pornography-related offences. Later that day, officers working out of the York Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit obtained and executed a search warrant at a Newmarket residence where the suspect was arrested without incident.
CHARGED:
Christopher HOLOWATYJ, 20, of Newmarket
CHARGES:
Possession of Child Pornography
Making Child Pornography Available
Breach of Recognizance
Mr. HOLOWATYJ has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket sometime today
