Shortly after 7 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, Hamilton Police were called to 55 Stirton Av., Hamilton. The nature of the call indicated the resident of the house had suffered stab wounds.

On the arrival of the police, the body of George Washington Burnett, 83 yrs., lone resident of 55 Stirton Av. was found. He was the obvious victim of a homicide.

Police are asking anyone that may have seen anyone around the deceased’s home, on Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 between 1100am till 500pm to call the Hamilton Police.

Police will continue to canvass the area this morning to identify anyone with information that can assist in this investigation.
