Houston police found male skeletal remains at 200 Maxey Road

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man whose skeletal remains were found at 200 Maxey Road about 5 p.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 27).

The victim is tentatively identified as Victor Figueroa Nunez, 53, of Houston.  His cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  A photo of Mr. Nunez is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Harris and Senior Police Officer M. Waters II reported:

A city worker discovered human bones scattered in a heavily wooded area on the east side of Hermann Brown Park at the above location.

Evidence gathered at the scene provided a tentative identification of the remains as those of Mr. Nunez.
