Apparently, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is firm that he and his associates in council would be re-elected if another municipal vote were held any soon.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford said: “I can proudly say we have done more in one year than any administration ever has. This is a phenomenal team and I can proudly say we have done more in one year than any administration ever has.”

Moreover, he also dismissed allegations that his government did not make the change people demanded.

He said: "Everywhere I go people say ‘stay the course. And I go get my coffee at Tim Hortons and people say, ‘Stay the course, Rob, you are doing a fantastic job.’ It is working. And I know if there was an election today, we would all be re-elected."

Ever since Ford swore to "put an end the gravy train" at city hall, it’s clear that he has encountered his share of both success and setbacks. He achieved a noteworthy victory on Monday night, when council passed his plan to privatize trash pickup in the western half of the city.

On the other hand, an ardent opponent, Vaughan said: “The one thing we know about this mayor is that every single city service … everything with this mayor gets worse.”
