Young Brampton lady lost life in a serious vehicle collision

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses in a motor vehicle collision that resulted in a 24 year-old female pedestrian being fatally injured.

On Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at approximately 10:10 a.m., a vehicle collision occurred in the intersection of Torbram Road and Queen Street East in Brampton.   The collision involved a 2007 GMC Sierra that was being operated by a 23 year-old male from Erin and a 1998 Nissan Quest being operated by a 17 year-old from Brampton.

After colliding with the van the GMC Sierra then careened in to two pedestrians. A 24 year old female from Brampton was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. An 18 year-old male from Brampton was transported to a Toronto area Trauma Centre where he is in stable condition.

The investigation is being conducted by officers with the Major Collision Bureau.
