On Sunday, February 5, 2012, 11 Division officers arrested and charged a man in connection with a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– on Sunday, January 29, 2012, the accused, while employed as a holistic practitioner at Absolute Traditional Thai Massage at 2209 Bloor Street West, sexually assaulted a woman
– the woman attended for a massage, which was purchased through an online discount website
Somphone Chanthavong, 46, of Seaforth, Ontario has been charged with:
1) two counts of Sexual Assaults.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Monday, February 6, 2012, room 101, at 10 a.m.
The public should exercise caution when using the internet to purchase services of this nature and ensure they exercise diligence when screening persons and businesses offering these services.
Police believe there may be more victims.
