Motorcycle driver dies in a fatal collison with deer in Yarmouth

Yarmouth Town RCMP investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a deer in the town of Yarmouth.

Last night, RCMP received a 911 call at 9:32 p.m. regarding a motor vehicle collision at the eastern end of Forest Street involving a motorcycle and a deer. Police and EHS attended the scene. The lone male driver of the motorcycle was transported to Yarmouth County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The deer was killed upon impact with the motorcycle.

The street was closed for several hours while the investigation was being conducted. At the request of the family, the name of the deceased is being withheld.
