Newmarket man Sean Dalrymple charged with several child luring offences

Members of the Major Crime Bureau have charged a 46-year-old Newmarket man in connection with several offences of Luring a Child in the Town of Newmarket. .

On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, the accused used the Internet to post an ad in the personals section of the classifieds. The suspect then attempted to solicit the sexual services from young females online. The accused used the pseudonym Damian Marshell and an online username of dammar001. Following an investigation by the members of Internet Child Exploitation Unit and the Sexual Assault Bureau, the Drugs and Vice Unit made the arrest without incident.

Investigators are concerned there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward. The accused may have had recent and direct contact with young people under the age of 18 years.

– Luring to Facilitate the Commission of Sexual Interference

– Luring to Facilitate the Commission of Procurement

– Luring to Facilitate the Commission of Sexual Assault

– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cannabis

Mr. Darlymple has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
