Almonte man Oscar Tolgyesi faces several counts on child pornography

Today, the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) charged an Almonte man as a result of an online investigation.

In December 2013, the Ottawa Police Service received information from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre that a suspect, residing in Almonte and employed in the Ottawa area, had distributed child pornography.

Today, the Ottawa Police ICE Unit conducted two simultaneous search warrants at the man’s home in Almonte and his place of work in the City of Ottawa.

Oscar Tolgyesi, 50yrs of Almonte was charged with two counts each of Possession of Child Pornography, Making Child Pornography, Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence and one count of Distributing Child Pornography.

He is scheduled to appear at court for a bail hearing on May 3rd. The investigation is ongoing.
