An 18-year-old male was located suffering from a stab wound to the upper body.  He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continued by members of the West District Crime Unit.  It was learned that the victim and an unknown male had been involved in a verbal altercation which escalated to the point where the suspect produced a weapon and stabbed the victim.

Investigators were able to identify David Michael Kyle INMAN (19) as the male responsible, however attempts to locate him were unsuccessful and a warrant of arrest for Assault With a Weapon was subsequently obtained.  They later learned that INMAN was residing in Vancouver and notified local authorities.

On June 2, 2015, with the assistance of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Fugitive Return Program, INMAN was arrested on the strength of the warrant by members of the Vancouver Police Service.

On June 8, 2015, INMAN was returned to Winnipeg and turned over to investigators.

He has been detained in custody.
