Darryl Grant Mousseau arrested for stealing GPS’s, Winnipeg

On January 2nd, 2011 at approximately 10:30 p.m. a suspect male, with his faced concealed with a balaclava, allegedly broke into the front door of a condominium block within the 1st 100 block of Academy Road. Once inside the suspect attended to the underground parkade where he broke into a vehicle and stole a General Positioning System (GPS). The suspect then proceeded to enter and subsequently steal, a sport utility vehicle valued at $35,000.00.

On January 3rd, 2011 at approximately 3:30 a.m. this same suspect male attended to a retail business within the 500 block of Wall Street where he broke into two service vehicles that were parked outside, removing two GPS’s from within.

This suspect male then broke into this business where a variety of electronics were gathered in preparation to load them into the stolen sport utility vehicle.

Uniform Officers responding to a security alarm, arrived and observed the suspect male inside the business. Members from the Tactical Team and the Canine Unit also attended and after searching the building the suspect was located inside and was arrested without incident.

Darryl Grant MOUSSEAU, 31 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

– Break and Enter X 2
– Possess Break In Instruments X 2
– Disguise with Intent X 2
– Theft Over
– Theft Under X 5, and
– Fail to comply Recognizance X2

MOUSSEAU has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
