Four suspects wanted for violent home invasion in Whitby

Investigators are asking the public to help identify four suspects involved in a violent home invasion in Whitby.

On Friday, January 28, 2011 at approximately 2:40 p.m., two young females came to the front door of a residence in the Taunton Road West and Country Lane area of Whitby, indicating they were raising funds for a Toronto hospital. When the female homeowner opened the door, two males suddenly appeared and forced their way into the residence.

One male suspect pointed a firearm at the woman in the residence as they searched the home for another person. The male being sought managed to escape the residence on foot and the suspects then left the area.

The female homeowner suffered minor injuries.

Suspect #1 is described as female, black, 14-15 years old, 5’9” tall with a medium build with her hair in braids, wearing jeans and a black jacket.

Suspect #2 is described as female, black, 14-15 years old, 5’3” tall with a slender build.

Suspect #3 is described as male, black, 20-25 years old, 5’2” tall with a heavy build, wearing jeans.

Suspect #4 is described as male, black, 20-25 years old, 5’10” tall with a slender build, wearing a red hoodie.
