Mumbai: Karan Johar’s intelligence and marvelous filmmaking we all know and we acknowledge his expertise. Rohit Shetty is a stupendous and creative director who just knows one thing – to bring out the superhits and he does with gusto. His success stories are much told in Bollywood arena. The producers, masses and the entertainment fraternity adore him a lot. The producers want him to direct the films for them since the fact remains – if he makes a movie, it is bound to be a hit.
Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty both have now teamed up to churn out a project for the extra dose of entertainment for the masses. Although both the filmmakers’ choice of subjects is different and their taste of filmmaking is entirely different from each other nonetheless the duo decided to be on one platform. Yes, that has happened since Karan Johar offered Rohit his platform of Dharma Productions to make a film on. Shetty has agreed and the duo is happy with the association that will certainly bring in the lucrative cinematic joys for the Hindi film viewers.
Karan has been the fan of Rohit Shetty’s brand of action comedies and he always loved watching his films. Even post the success of Golmaal 3, Johar phoned Rohit and complimented his marvelous work. Karan has recently returned from Bangkok after wrapping up the shoot of his campus movie ‘Student of the Year’. After returning from Thailand, he met Rohit and then they both agreed on making a film together.
Karan Johar has given Shetty complete liberty, as he usually gives to his directors, to make whatever he wants since he is aware of the fact that Rohit brings superhits.
The scripts and other works on the movies are yet to be discussed. The formalities are on way for the movie that Rohit is to direct under Dharma Productions’ banner.
